Transferring innovation to industry
2019 marks our 50th year of transferring cutting-edge technology to industry. On this occasion, we organized a special Innovation Day at our campus on 19 November 2019 inviting industry leaders and successful entrepreneurs to share their experience and vision with us.
In a first chapter, business leaders explored the role of innovation in industry, shared their vision of technological development and explaining how they manage innovation across their organizations, industries and markets. They also talked about the economic and technological challenges they face every day – and how their research partnerships and joint ventures with EPFL help them overcome those challenges and foster innovative thinking.
In a second chapter, entrepreneurs with an exceptional path gave an overview of their experience, their determination to succeed and how EPFL has been contributing to their success. They shared their vision on the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Switzerland and beyond and shared their advice to inspire future generations.
